Why use boost buck driver circuit?
Because the voltage of UV LED is about 3.8V, and the battery will change from 4.2V to 3.0V during use, in order to achieve the maximum brightness output under any circumstances, we use boost & buck, and compared with the previous linear driver, its efficiency is much higher, which will make the heat smaller and the working time of the flashlight longer

This was my first Convoy purchase, that I decided to pull the trigger on after reading countless reviews and personal opinions of enthusiasts on Reddit's /Flashlight forum. I was blown away with the quality and power of this UV flashlight. I've always relied on the local, hardware, stores, versions of a UV light and they don't compare in performance to this one. It's actually scary how much dirt, grime, chemicals and residue shows up when using the S12, around my house. I'm excited to test it while rockhounding. Absolutely wonderful UV light. One of the best in class for the price. Make sure you also pick up a ZWB2 filter!
