Convoy M21F gray 21700 flashlight

Awesome build quality. I have the SFT70 version and it’s extremely powerful. The UI could use a little refinement, though. In stepped mode, I’d like the option to turn memory mode off. If I double-click to go to full power, that mode is remembered, even if I was previously using a lower brightness level. It would be better if turbo/full power didn’t override the previously selected mode. It would also be great to allow brightness changes directly from moonlight mode. Other than those UI quirks, it’s excellent value and a very impressive light.

Having put tools through the wringer for years, I know the difference between an overpriced name-brand badge and true, uncompromising engineering. The beam rendering is remarkably clean—providing a punchy center hotspot with a wide, usable flood spill that reproduces true-to-life colors without harsh green or yellow tint shifts. Pushing over 3,000 lumens out of a compact host requires serious power management, and feeding it with the top-tier Molicel P50B battery ensures maximum sustained current output and minimal voltage sag. The light output punch effortlessly cuts through dark workspaces, yards, and structures with flawless illumination.  When you factor in the total cost—landing at under $60 AUD complete with a premium Molicel 21700 cell—the value proposition is insane. You are getting performance, driver efficiency, and color accuracy that rivals or exceeds tier-one lights costing well over $150–$200. Simon and the team at Convoy continue to prove that you don't need to overpay for quality; you just need engineering done right without the marketing markup. This M21F spec punches well above its weight class, and it has easily earned a permanent spot in my primary kit. Five stars.

I got the xhp70.3 version, and i believe its almost perfect. Its quite floody with wide spill and throws good. Not as much as m21e, but more then m21h. Negatives is the ui and the tailcap, which could be much smaller like m21h. Oh, and the fact that the charging cover feels like switch. Otherwise very pleased, its a very good allrounder

I ordered two versions of the M21 F model—one with the SFT 70 LED and the other with the SFT 40—both with 3000 K. Both are excellent and have a beautiful tint, although the SFT 70 version feels more powerful. The SFT 70 won me over with its color rendering, output, and throw; it is more versatile than the SFT 40, even though the two versions are similar. However, for search purposes, I would choose the SFT 40, as it is also excellent.

I have the m21F with the lhp73b and EVE 50PL. It handles the thermals better than expected. I love the fins. 10 amp seems to hold about 3 minutes without step down. The 20 amp is a fun blast to show off. This is exactly the powerful floody beautiful flashlight I wanted. The orange peel works great. It feels like I'm done buying flashlights but I doubt that!

My favorite host, bought the SFT70 5000k version. A good all-rounder of a light. The lowest setting is too bright and there is no moonlight mode (LHP73B version has this). Unfortunately cannot ramp up from the low mode which is initiated with a button hold. The LHP73B version is the best.

I own a S2+ and an S6. I recently ordered a M21F with a XHP70.3 HI R7O and an M21E with a SFT40. I’m thoroughly enjoying these lights! I’m so impressed with the M21F host that I purchased another one with a SFT40. It’s on the way!

I love the form factor of this flashlight, and the quality is superb. I really want this to be one of my main lights because i love the feel of it so much. However, unfortunately, for my taste the UI makes it one of my least used lights… a few simple changes to the UI would transform the experience for me: in stepped mode I want to turn off mode memory and have it always come on low first. I hate having to cycle all the way through high to get back to low. And I would want to hold press for extra low AND be able to go up from there. The ramping mode is too slow at the high end and too fast at the low end for me to want to use it. If there is ever an updated driver that allows for some of these changes (or better yet a 6v anduril driver!) I would be all over it, and it would easily be one of the best flashlights on the market hands down!
