A nicely finished light. I bought a XHP70.3 HI R9050, I also bought all of the compatible TIR options! Favourite is 8°, gives a very usable beam with punchy throw but sensible spill. The lower CRI XHP70.3 would also be very good!

The Convoy M21H is an interesting model. My choice fell on the GT-FC40 LED, which offers >90 CRI and an R9 value slightly above 80. The flashlight is compact, smaller than the M21B and M21H. It comes factory-equipped with a TIR 12 optic, and I additionally ordered TIR 8 and 24. The light profile does everything well but nothing exceptionally, making it a great all-around option when you’re unsure of what lighting conditions you might face. The beam throw is around 60 meters, with a defined hotspot that is not overwhelming. One big plus for me is that, unlike the M21B or H, it subtly lights up the area directly in front of your feet (a benefit of the TIR 12). Build quality is very good, but to earn a perfect 10/10, it would need: a) a larger button and b) a backlit button. Therefore, I give it a solid 8/10.

First of all, the customer service is very good and Simon addresses any problem and finds a solution. I purchased the M21H model in MAO finish with 5700K XHP70.3 HI - R9050 LED and I must say that I am very satisfied. Convoy flashlights are excellent in terms of quality and price. This model produces an intense white light but with a good tone. It has an effective lighting range of about 60/70 meters and good dispersion. It is neither an EDC nor a launcher. It is in a very good middle ground and with good color reproduction despite the 5700K. Now, the points that could be improved: 1) Moonlight is very bright, almost like low mode. A Moonlight should have much fewer lumens. 2) Ramp mode is very irregular and slow. The progression is not very uniform. It moves very slowly from low mode and then goes very fast in high mode. I prefer the step by step mode which works much better. 3) The power button is very sensitive, which makes getting to the different modes that require multiple clicks a complex task that usually doesn't work the first time. Otherwise an excellent flashlight in itself and for its price. If these three weak points were solved, it could be described as fantastic. The MAO finish is a little darker than I thought, but it is pretty and has a very nice feel.

What a great flashlight! + Perfect for outdoors + It's has a great beam profile with throw and spill + Build quality is great - I don't like that the power button and usb flap are on the opposite sides. It's confusing in the dark because they feel the same. - It would be better with anduril. If you would get rid off the usb port and make it anduril it woul be perfect.

I chose this as my first "enthusiast"-grade flashlight and it's wonderful! I picked the GT FC40 1800K LED because I wanted a very warm light and it didn't disappoint. Shining it at night is like having a sunset in my hand- magical and powerful. After a quick charge, it worked right out of the box. I've never seen, let alone owned a light quite like it, and I'm very happy overall with it.
