Firstly - don't buy the clip that goes with this. I did and it stripped all the anodizing off first time I put it on. So my shiny new minutes old torch now looks pretty awful. I assume that's why they don't supply a clip with it... Also my USB cables are all pretty slim but not one would fit to charge it. It's not only that the slot is very narrow, it's that the plug is very deep and even if you get one with a head slim enough to fit in the cutout a standard plug doesn't reach deep enough. I had to dremel a cable to get it to work. Overall this is a great design that feels nice in the hand and has great workmanship - but needs some basic design flaws addressed. If I had my time again I'd wait for v2...

Pros: + This flashlight is very simple to use. You can hand it to anyone. + The 519a and 60deg beaded TIR create a very floody light, useful for close-up tasks as a light in this size class should be. + The button takes a good amount of force to actuate--not too strong, not too weak. + Built-in charging is very convenient--if you can use it. See the cons below. + The flashlight operates normally while charging. + The battery indicator light is subtle but effective. Cons: - The tailcap magnet is simply not strong enough. It barely works in ideal conditions. Look at it wrong and it will fall. - Your USB-C cable won't fit. Check your drawers and other devices' boxes for a cheap, short one to try. - There's no way to directly access moonlight mode from off. Whatever mode you had it on last is what you get. - The light is full of artifacts due to this type of TIR. If you want a clean light with crisp edges, this is not for you. Bottom line: The T7 a decent light for its size and price, and having a choice of emitter and color temperature is pretty cool. But ultimately I recommend spending a few more dollars for something else in this class.

Love this flashlight for EDC. Lights up the whole path in front of me. 1/2 of my USB C cables fits, half wouldn't fit into it. You can turn it on on max and it doesn't gets too hot. Just a simple UI, no strobe/blinky. Maybe 4 clicks to lock out would have made it even better.

The flashlight is great—I really liked the ergonomics and controls. It's probably the most interesting option in the T-series. With its KY CSLNM1.FY LED and 45-degree lens, it delivers the warm orange light I wanted, plus the convenience of using AA batteries.
